What are the hours of the Bonfire?
6:00-10:00 p.m.
Where are the Iron Furnaces located?
Very close to downtown Scranton. 159 Cedar Ave. in South Scranton right off the exit from 81 and across from General Dynamics (old Chamberlain) and near Coney Island.
Where Can I Park?
Parking is available in the University of Scranton Fitzgerald Field Parking lot, on the street across from the Furnaces and on Cedar Ave. Downtown is also within walking distance. There is street parking and a parking garage on Adams. Ave.
What time is the lighting of the Bonfire?
The Bonfire will be lit at 8:15 p.m.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. This includes $5 in Bonfire Bucks to use towards food, beverage and activities.
What are Bonfire Bucks?
Bonfire Bucks are worth a $1 in value and can be used to purchase food and beverage and for activities such as face painting and the sky lantern launch.
Is this event family friendly?
Children 12 and under are admitted free. There are many activities that children will enjoy including Fire Performers, dance performances, face painting, a Jack O’Lantern carving competition, a Balloon Artist, original musical theatre, a hands-on art activity sponsored by the Everhart Museum, and of course the lighting of the fire.
What type of food will be there?
This year we are featuring Nickie’s Fabulous Hoagies, Coney Island Hot Dogs, Fratelli’s Pizza, and fall sweet treats from Stadt Bakery, as well as candy apples. Hot beverages such as coffee, hot chocolate, and hot and cold cider will be available.
What type of adult beverages are available?
We will have Miller Light and Yuengling Lager, an Oktoberfest wine from Maiolatesi Wine Cellars, and spiked cider.
What bands are playing?
Light Weight and Latin band Grupo Weepa.
